Big Baby Gandhi & Yuri Beats – America Eats Its Babies EP
The Greedhead x Das Racist comrade Big Baby Gandhi returns from his “retirement” from making music, which turned out to be just a hiatus. So, here goes a new 5 track EP with producer Yuri Beats through XXL. On his retirement, BBG says:
“Retiring from rap was a practical decision for me. I looked at how bankrupt the music industry was and the evaporation of social mobility and decided that it wasn’t the way to a better future. I’m trying to be a man, and a man is an adult, and an adult is responsible for themselves and the people they love. So many rappers have nothing else, but I have pharmacy school and that’s where I’m going to refocus my energy. I do take solace in the fact that I’ll be able to release all the material that I’ve recorded over the past year and a half. This includes this EP and a debut solo album I plan to put out later this year.”

00Reef the Lost Cauze & Haj (of Dumhi) – Sirens on Snyder EP
One of my favorite artists ever, Reef, is back with some new music. Woo! The Philadelphia veteran links up with fellow Keystone-r Haj. I just listened through, and this is everything I expected and more. Haj says:
So, we are finally here.
Back in 2008, I met up with Reef the Lost Cauze for the first time. We made a song called “Squeeze” that night. We have made a LOT of songs together since.
Last October we were recording what would become B.Dawk and Reef was like “we might as well just knock out a little Ep, man.” I was like, “Let’s go!”
I won’t do anymore dialogue in this email. I promise.
So while Reef and Caliph were finishing up “Reef the Lost Cauze is Dead”, I started sketching some beats together and in about January, we started rocking out on Wednesday nights in the basement.
